Centre Henri Pousseur (Gilles Doneux and Patrick Delges), electronics
This work by Henri Pousseur, composed in 1971, the electronic part of which was updated by the Centre Henri Pousseur in 2019, consists of two parts. The first is a mobile score of 10 pages, each to be inserted by the interpreter into a cover with windows at his sole discretion. Thus appears the basic material with which the instrumentalist constructs a spontaneous improvisation according to indications thus obtained (for example fleeing, resistant, fixed, fluctuating, irregular, …).
A second score includes all the electronic manipulations of the “elements” provided by the interpreter. For this part, Henri Pousseur refers to the electronic device of the work Solo by Karlheinz Stockhausen, to which he adds a Varitone system (direct transformations of filters, tremolo, reverb and pitch analysis made by the performer), an EMS VCS3 synthesizer (Putney) as well as a tape recorder for the realization of recordings and the creation of a feedback circuit, the different systems all interconnected.
