Painting with silence and whisper
‘Silence, you are the most beautiful sound I ever heard.’ Based on this thought penned by Nobel Prize winner Boris Pasternak, cellist Arne Deforce and his whispering instrument mould a ritual that explores the infinite twilight landscape that extends into the spectrum of soft sound. From the stillness in the work of Salvatore Sciarrino and Gabriel Paiuk we slowly slide into the parallel universe of Daan Janssens. A silent concert that grabs you by the scruff of the neck.
