Born in 1993, Stefan Hejdrowski is a Belgian composer. He graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Liège in 2016, studying composition with Michel Fourgon and mixed composition with Gilles Gobert. His work is regularly featured in Belgian and international events. He draws strong inspiration from art history, often incorporating systematic use of quotations and references to existing repertoire in his music. This approach leads the composer to create new pieces based on pre-existing works, envision new melodies from ancient materials, and explore the musician’s position on stage, as well as their relationship to history, memory, and instrumental performance.
