Concert as part of the festival “D’Aujourd’hui à Demain” in Cluny (France)

Works by Arnold Schönberg (orchestration by Dominique Clément) and Martin Matalon on films by Charlie Chaplin and Luis Buñuel

Composer Martin Matalon will be the guest of the festival’s closing concert, for the creation by the KDM trio of a score written to accompany Chaplin’s film Charlot s’évade. As a group of soloists, the Trio KDM invests in a multiple way the repertoire of today’s music. The flexibility of his staff – from solo to trio – allows him to approach in different projects the historical pages and instrumental literature of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century. For this closing evening, he joins forces with the Aleph ensemble, which has been at the centre of the festival since its inception, by interpreting the music written by Martin Matalon for Luis Buñuel’s film Un chien andalou.
